In theory, February is our shortest month, but I think many can agree that in practice it resembles a considerably larger adversary, usually closed with more working hours than a normal month. Or is it just me?
Our State of the Nation Address was concluded and along with the 2022/2023 budget held no direct implication to our real estate transactions with VAT remaining at 15% as well as Transfer Duties seeing no adjustments as can be seen in the table below:
Mossel Bay welcomed the first 3 Cruise Liners to our shores for the season, as well as a lot of activity in the real estate market from the interior provinces. The turning point of the lending rates not yet seeming to have an effect on buyer interest. Likely, the many factors driving the exodus from the major metro’s still the outweighing the financial implications.
